Castels we’d been sent the proposal to see Mont Saint Michel when travelling between Château de Lez Eaux and Domaine des Ormes. These were two campsites we had been staying as we road tripped around France and also Mont Saint Michel was an ideal stop between the 2 places.

We walked on the way in and took the shuttle On the way back out which is a wonderful way to do it, especially if you’re travelling with children or people who might not be up to too much walking.

When you arrive you will walk through the Narrow, cobbled roads with wonky buildings on each side. Regardless of when you see it’s going to be full of tourists but don’t let this put you off, just embrace the exciting hustle and bustle as it’s the air which makes this place so unique. The roads are lined with little shops, mostly selling tourist tat, but you can pretend you are walking along Diagon Alley and that is another souvenir store, it is actually Olivander’s Wand Shop!

Because that’s Just What It feels like, It’s like walking through Hogsmeade thanks to the otherworldly charm of Mont Saint Michel.

Keep walking and after Lots of extreme steps And climbing you’ll arrive at the abbey. You’ve got to pay to get into the abbey but it’s worth every cent, it is stunning!
